Denn das kuschelige Eichhörnchen von einst hat sich in ein erwachsenes Eichhorn verwandelt — Alkoholkater und Brechanfälle inklusive. Also Vorsicht: Dieses Spiel gehört auf keinen Fall in Kinderhände, trotz der putzigen Hauptdarsteller.
Eher unwillig gerät Conker ins Abenteuer, wo er ständig die Probleme anderer Tierchen lösen muss — dabei hat er einen mächtigen Kater und will eigentlich nur ins Bett, um seinen Rausch auszuschlafen. Aber es geht halt nicht anders, und deshalb gilt es, Wespen abzuschießen, Bienenkörbe zu klauen, Ratten zu verköstigen und knifflige Rätsel zu lösen. Alles immer untermalt von bissigen oder auch genervten Kommentaren der Hauptdarsteller. Conker lässt sich gut steuern, wenn er auch manchmal etwas langsam auf die Bewegungen des Controllers reagiert. Die Spielhandlung reizt immer wieder zum Lachen, vor allem der Auftritt des Todes ist ein Highlight für sich.
Das Spiel ist komplett in englischer Sprache gehalten. Um den Spielwitz mitzubekommen, sollte man dieser Sprache also mächtig sein. Sehr gelungen ist auch der Mehrspielermodus, wo es so richtig kriegerisch zur Sache geht. Der Schwierigkeitsgrad wurde ziemlich hoch angesetzt, weshalb es sich auf jeden Fall lohnt, jede Menge Extraleben einzusammeln. Alles in allem ist Conker's Bad Fur Day ein tolles und lange unterhaltendes Spiel, das den Ruf des N64 als Kinderkonsole ein für alle Mal Lügen straft. —Ines Heidrich
